A conversation with Jackton Distillery. The young Scottish distillery behind Raer Whisky, scaling craft with digital traceability. In South Lanarkshire, just outside Glasgow, one young Scottish distillery is part of a new generation turning to technology to meet the challenges of cask fraud in whisky today. Jackton Distillery, home to the award-winning Raer Scotch Whisky, is a family-owned, independently-run distillery that’s been in production since 2020. It is building towards a genuine farm-to-glass model, growing its own barley, running 164-hour fermentations and earning awards for its RAER Whisky range as a result.

Talking traceability, cost efficiency and compliance at WDSC 2026. This May, we’re headed to the Worldwide Distilled Spirits Conference (WDSC) from 4th-7th May at the International Conference Centre in Edinburgh. This conference only happens once every two years and when it does it’s a big event. We’re thrilled to be there, not only exhibiting and sponsoring the event, but also, we've been invited to present on a topic we’re passionate about, “From Paper to Blockchain : Rethinking Cask Ownership in the Spirits Industry”. Our COO, Stuart Maxwell will tackle the big issues he’s seeing in making the transition from analogue to digital and why it’s essential for any distillery looking to be more efficient, run smarter and leaner and in many cases, do more with less.
